I would have given this book 4 stars, but there were some editing and plot issues that threw me out of the story a couple of times.All-in-all I liked the book, however, I don't care how much you love someone and want to be loved and accepted by that person, if they continue to reject you and blow hot and cold at every opportunity, then walk away.I still don't understand Dallas' reaction to Noelle. It's not her fault he had two visions involving her/Hector and her/Dallas. He doesn't treat Hector with that same cold indifference. I just didn't feel his animosity was explained very well.I also felt that Corbin Bleu was a useless and throw away character. He served no real purpose. If he was supposed to make us think he was one of the Arcadians that was involved in the slavery, he needed more involvement other than being Noelle's ex and an Arcadian football player. There was a lot of hype of the bad guys, but not much substance.The best part of the book was the little interaction we got to see of Noelle and Ava. (I've read the books out of order, I now have to read Ecstasy in Darkness - Ava's story)
