This is a male/male love story set during the times of the Crusades. This isn't my normal genre, as I usually read paranormal romance, but this one caught my eye. Although it's a pretty fast read, I felt the author was able to tell their story, giving us love, heartbreak and angst. I felt as if Alexius was using Walter for sport, and I'm not sure that if Walter hadn't bolted, Alexius would have pursued him. There was only one sticking points for me. Walter seemed to give in too quickly to Alexius. Walter made a point of thinking that he had never thought of being with a man sexually, but it didn't take much for Alexius to bed him.Either way, it was a fun read.
